Hosting a party

It’s very easy to host a little treasures party. All you need to do is invite between three and six interested friends and their children round to your house for a couple of hours. You can invite more depending on the size of your house, the number of children and the time available (each customer typically takes about 15-20 minutes depending on how many pieces they order). At previous parties people have often dropped in for a while and then left. It's all very informal – there is no hard sell. I display samples of the jewellery and my price list and leave people to have look and decide whether they want to make a purchase.

If they decide they want to buy I take the fingerprints there and then (I don’t use a mold, the fingerprints go straight on to the clay that eventually becomes the finished jewellery). I also take payment on the day by cash or cheque, so please make sure your friends are aware of this.

The jewellery is posted out (first class, recorded delivery) to each customer usually about a week after the party.

If at least three other people make a purchase, as the host you get a free piece of jewellery worth up to £45. This is the price of a pendant but it can be deducted from your order instead.

Weekdays during term time are preferable but I can do holidays, weekends or evenings. I cover most of Cornwall.
